1973: The beginning.

Alain began his training modestly at the age of 14, fascinated by the lively atmosphere in the hair salons of Brussels' Avenue Louise. At a young age, he learnt a lot about hair washing ten the techniques of colouring. Alain is modest, very determined and has an excellent education. He also possesses general knowledge that stems from his passion for the profession. At the age of 18, he became assistant to Michel Boffé, hairdresser to Martin in the Woluwe-Saint-Lambert shopping centre, and later hairdresser to Michel Boffé until June 1983. The colourist at this salon was a certain Patrick 42 years later, they are still working together.

1983: Confirmation

In 1983, Alain Denis opened his own salon on the Avenue Constant Montald in Brussels, becoming the master of his trade. Over the years, this salon became a true symbol of excellence in hair care thanks to a dedicated team that excels in people-oriented management and a strong sense of collaboration. Its clientele continued to grow, attracted by its professionalism and attention to detail. The salon has been expanded and renovated several times to accommodate the growing clientele and provide a warm, modern environment. A favourite of magazines and major cosmetics brands such as L'Oréal and Unilever, he performed in all corners of Europe.

2002: Alain Denis Ghent

In October 2002, together with Geertrui Mathys, co-owner of the iconic salon "StudioF", he opened Alain Denis Ghent. This 250-square-metre salon is located on the top floor of Laurentplein and offers a panoramic view of the centre of Ghent. Alain shares his expertise and his "French Touch" with Ghent's cosmopolitan customers. The salon is fast becoming a reference point for clients who appreciate his natural vision of hair styles and the bilingual experience.

2004: La Maison Roger

In 2004, Alain Denis made a major acquisition by buying Maison Roger. This acquisition marked an important step in Alain's career and strengthened his reputation as a renowned hairdresser, while maintaining his personal touch. In the process, he was supported by his son Maxime and his wife Sylviane, who in the meantime became his partner both professionally and privately. This great challenge enabled Alain Denis to expand his clientele. Obtaining the Brevet of Court of Belgium, which he carried for more than 12 years, confirmed his professionalism, discretion and reliability as a hairdresser and manager.

2005: Royal La Rasante

Expansion of Avenue Montald: a new location within the prestigious club Royal La Rasante, a logical continuation of its carefully designed style. An exclusive space focused on well-being. Sport, relaxation, work and social interaction take place in inviting spaces with high-quality facilities. A passionate sportsman, he manages to combine his two interests in a haven in the heart of the city. Four hectares of gardens surround seven tennis courts, two swimming pools, fitness areas and modern spas. The 13,000m² clubhouse offers meeting and work spaces, as well as events and activities for the whole family.

Today:

Today, Alain devotes himself to his passions, including his own brand: "Alain Denis Maison de Beauté". He also focuses on sharing the knowledge and experience he has gained as a versatile hairdresser. Through training courses for hairdressers, but also on specific education and through his workshops for various target groups. Alain does not want to talk about his retirement yet, as he is currently working on a new concept that he will soon unveil.
